 BopMusic Fonts for SIBELIUS

 

BopMusic Jazz Font Set for SIBELIUS is a third party music symbols font which can be used with SIBELIUS to produce handwritten music in a style similar to that of many jazz charts, including a complete script font for text, chord symbols, and hundreds of symbols for jazz and commercial music. The fonts set includes 7 accompanying fonts to help transform the overall appearance of the music and titles.

 

BopMusic Sibelius Fonts are supplied in both TrueType formats (WIN and MAC), and can be embedded in EPS and PDF files for publishing: BopMusic, BopMusic Script, BopMusic Chords, BopMusic Text, BopMusic Special, BopMusic Metronome, BopMusic Time.

How to use BopMusic Fonts with SIBELIUS?

 

BopMusic Fonts Set Package comes on a Zip-File, in order to install the fonts on your system please follow the following steps:

 

1.     Decompress the zip file, COPY (Ctrl+C) the seven TrueType fonts and PASTE (Ctrl+V) them in your Windows Fonts Folder (C\:Windows\Fonts\...) Otherwise, you can just DRAG the fonts the using the mousse

2.     You’ll have to Setup the Preferences from Sibelius File menu like the picture below:

 

 

 

 

 

Applying BopMusic Fonts to your SIBELIUS Score:

 

 

IT IS EASY to apply BopMusic House Style to any given score, though BopMusic Fonts are mapped the same way like Inkpen2, Helsinki and Opus fonts witch came bundled with Sibelius. To change the overall look of your score without altering your score settings: House Style > Edit All Fonts then try the following settings from the picture below:

 

 

 

                                

NOTE FOR MACINTOSH USERS:

 

I believe the issue is that on Mac you need to name the font as "BopMusic" in the Music Fonts Preferences. Customers have done this and it works great.

 

1.    Copy BopMusic MAC.lib from the fonts set package in ….\Sibelius Software\Sibelius 6\House Styles folder;

2.    You can then go to House Style > Import House Style and import the BopMusic MAC.lib;

3.    That is all.

NOTE: The MAC version of the fonts WON’T work correctly for older versions

of SIBELIUS to v4.1.5. However, the current MAC fonts version will ONLY work

for Sibelius 5 and on.  Thanks so much to Daniel Spreadbury (Sibelius Software Ltd)
